Steve and Joe went to the welding shop to get Joe's fork repaired and to make sure everything else on the front end and wheel was good to go. They took turns grinding everything out to get it ready for Chris, the welder, to mig it back together. They had strapped it down, lined everything up, measured and re-measured to make sure all was where it was supposed to be.
They got the bike finished up at noon and we took off for Fairbanks - 195 miles.
The closer to Fairbanks we got the more smoke we ran into and through.
Gas fill up stop.
At Delta Junction, Joe worked on his carb and got it straightened out
We ended up at the Wedgewood Resort in Fairbanks for the night. All is good! We head for Prudhoe tomorrow up the Dalton Highway.
